Exchanging a Simmons Beautyrest World Class mattress that is too firm

Hi,
I recently purchased a simmons beautyrest world class mattress in luxury firm. The mattress was perfect in the store giving it support with just the right amount of softness. I have a platform bed for the first time in my life and when the mattress was delivered and put onto the bed, the bed feels totally different--almost like laying on a piece of wood---super firm. it is very hard. i have 21 days to exchange ..would you go with a plush mattress so that it is firm when put on the platform bed or a pillow top? i do not know what to look for as the mattress purchased felt great and feels completely different on the platform bed. Mary

Hi Mary,

If you exchange it for a pillowtop, the padding will wear out quickly. Read here, how so many have regretted the choice of a pillowtop mattress.

If you exchange it for the plush model, the gauge of the wire will be so thin that the mattress will wear out within a year or so.

The perfect solution is to add a 2" layer of soft Talalay latex to the surface of the mattress you have. The result is long lasting comfort and support.
