Tempurpedic Cloud is leaving us sore, Simmons Beautyrest Black mattress

Me and my wife bought a Tempurpedic cloud split cal king with ergo for $8800
Have had it for 15 days and have 100 days to return and trade. We are a little sore, and have been told it is our bodies Re-alining to getting used to a correct mattress. Also seems a little hot in the early morning hours.
Also is still a little hard, as they say it takes approx. a month to break in and be softer. We are considering trading for a cal king beautyrest black pillowtop full Ca king instead of split, which just seems small with the crack in the middle, at $1100 cheaper. What do you think about which one is the  better choice and the price?

The Simmons Beautyrest Black models are the best one sided innerspring units on today's market. 
Pillowtop, all pillowtops, lose their shape more quickly than tight tops do.
As far as price is concerned, you got hammered...at one of the highest priced stores in the country. Unfortunately for you, but are stuck with them. Here is a link to the Black line and the prices you should be paying.
