Old Fashioned, Two-Sided Flippable Mattress

 My biggest concern is your disappointment, given your level of expectation...which you have from your current experience. All mattresses have suffered a dramatic decline in quality when comparing today's mattresses to those made 20 years ago. At 95 pounds, you wouldn't perceive much difference. But you're sure to wonder what happened to your 245 pound boyfriend's half of the bed. Today's mattresses are one sided, not flippable...half the mattress you have...and less, with all the memory foam used. The materials inside have changed, too...designed to fail much sooner...in an effort to turn everyone into a more frequent buyer. There are two ways around this. The most common and most popular, is to get a good quality, more basic firm mattress, and add a 2" layer of soft latex to the top. The latex does too things. Besides providing an amazingly comfortable sleeping surface, to will also extend the life of whatever mattress you place under it. Latex is the most resilient material available. It will absorb most of his body weight, which leaves much less work for the mattress. The other option is a two sided mattress...one of the ones we had made in response to all of this. Our two sided mattresses are very high quality. They've been out for 4 years now and they have been problem free.
