A latex topper for a too firm mattress.

Just bought several "plush" traditional innerspring mattresses for a vacation home without testing them. Everything was done long distance. Thought medium (not firm and not pillowtop) would be safest way to order. Unfortunately they are too firm so I would like to soften them some. We purchased a latex mattress from you several years ago which I really like, so maybe we just aren't used to an innerspring mattress anymore. Would a latex topper help?
