Just wanted to let you know about a new line of Simmons Beautyrest called "Recharge 1000" (Pacific Series.) These inner springs have better construction than the PS 800 or 850. Plus memory foam. Simmons has only been manufacturing them for about 1 month. This line seems most compatible with the Recharge World Class (same coil count 1,296 in King). I got an absolute rock bottom price on this mattress as other mattress companies wouldn't match my deal.
I found nothing online yet regarding the Pacific Series Recharge 1000 but the salesman tells me they are flying off the shelves & he's heard nothing but good things (Rave reviews) from other customers that have purchased them. Going rate at Sleep Train in California is $2299 (King size). This mattress has a 25 year warranty. I purchased the plush.
Was wondering if you could find some (ANY) info on the mattresses? Coil Gauge? (Salesman didn't know, he was very honest with me) Any reviews? I would really appreciate some info on these mattresses if you can find it. Thank you in advance!
Best regards, JJ
Hi JJ,
It's nice to see a mattress buyer all excited about the mattress they bought. I hope you get many years of supportive and comfortable sleep.
I was under the impression that people were more comfortable buying from salespeople who knew their product...or, at least, pretended to. And yet, you bought a mattress from a salesman who knew nothing because you liked the fact that he was honest about it?
Quite frankly, I feel a little foolish now, going through all this trouble to provide accurate information. He must have been one hell of a nice guy!?
However, I'm a little stumped. The last time I went into a Sleep Train, they had the specification for their mattresses in a sleeve on each mattress.
That Series is the same as the Recharge World Class. The king sets range in price from $1799 to $2149....with free delivery, set-up, removal of the old set and no sales tax.
$2299 isn't really rock bottom...just the con you fell for.
Selling a mattress by promoting the inflated warranties as reason to buy, is in debate among industry leaders. It's an obviously disingenuous way to sell a mattress, considering that they aren't going to last anywhere near as long as the warranty would have you believe. The warranties protect you from defects, not normal wear. Typically, new mattresses are being replaced in about 5 years. The 25 year warranty is misleading at best...a complete scam if the truth be told.
The gauge of wire for a plush is 15.5...very thin. Simmons "plush" models tend not to last more than a year or two, which is why I did not list them on my website.
This new line was introduced on April 1st of this year...just a little more than a couple of months old. Everything gets rave reviews when this new. A year from now, it'll be a different story. Here's a link to our Simmons Beautyrest Recharge World Class line. That free delivery I spoke of, includes California and all the other 47 continental US states....and, no sales tax.
Thanks, Pete
