Your blog is very helpful.
We have a 2 yo Sealy Natural Origins Allure that is currently under consideration about meeting the warranty replacement as the layers of the mattress appear to be separating. Is it necessary to replace both the mattress and the box springs?

Both my husband and I are in our 60s, are side and stomach sleepers and have some chronic neck, back and shoulder pain.
What I believe after reading is that a latex mattress might not be best but rather a firm spring mattress and a latex topper. Also, what would be the best two-sided mattress to consider? What about coil density and coil strength, which I believe really determines the life of the product? How is the best way to determine if you are comparing apples to apples when each store carries the products under a different name? Thank you, BC
Hi Barbara,
Your complaint about the Sealy Natural Origins is one of two, for this week.
You compare the specifications. It's the only effective way to compare apples to apples.
If you are getting authorization to exchange, consider the starting model is the Stearns & Foster line...in luxury firm without the pillowtop. (S&F is owned by Sealy)
Thanks, Pete
