High end bedding is a mistake for most people, but especially for a big man. A lot of extra padding is what you'll get, resulting in deep body impressions....and, you already know what to expect at the low end.
Best scenario is a latex topper on a strong, basic mattress. The latex topper will provide comfort that last and latex sleeps cooler than any other type of foam. Latex, besided being comfortable, is extremely resilient. It will absorb much of your body weight, adding longevity to the mattress under it....also an important feature for a big man.
