Simmons BeautyRest Hospitality Collection Westbury II Plush mattress

Hello,
I came across your blog during a google search. I recently stayed at the Hyatt House in San Jose and had one of my best nights sleep ever on this mattress:
Simmons BeautyRest Hospitality Collection Westbury II Plush
Model #35918Z
Tag # SF407
I am primarily a back sleeper with occasional side sleeping and I like a firm mattress but this one seemed to have the right balance of softness and support. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it for consumer purchase. Any recommendations as to where to purchase or a comparable consumer model?
I need my wife to try it out and get her feedback. I am 6'2 240 and she is 5'5 110 so we have to both try out the bed to make sure it is suitable for both of us. We currently have a S&F that is approaching 10 years old and starting to sag. Do we really need to replace the boxspring at the same time?
Thanks, George

Hi George,
A "plush" Beautyrest will not hold up under a man your size, used every night....or under an average weight person, for that matter. The gauge of wire used in their plush models is very thin.
It's imperative that you opt for the "luxury firm" models, using the same padding but a much heavier gauge wire for the coils.
Hotel Beautyrests are Classic Series models...the lower end of the Beautyrest line.
Here's a link to the entire Beautyrest line. It might help put things into perspective.

You will need to replace a 10 year old boxspring, without question. And, you're in luck. Simmons is running their free boxspring sale with the purchase of Simmons Beautyrest Recharge World Class for the Labor Day holiday starting 8/26. You'll pay the mattress only price and get the boxspring at no charge. Beautyrest Recharge Classic, not included in the sale.

Add a 2" soft Talalay Latex topper for additional comfort and longevity. Of all the foams available, latex is the most comfortable and most resilient...adding years of additional life to the mattress you use under it.
