Latex or memory foam mattress/topper‏

Hello Dear,
What is the difference between a latex topper and a memory foam topper? Instead of buying a new mattress, maybe I should just by a topper? My 9 y/o mattress dose have some bumps where it creases from my adjustable bed. Would a topper help or should I get a new mattress? Sincerely, Diane

Hi Diane,
Latex works. Memory foam doesn't. There are many technical differences, but that's it in a nut shell.
Besides doing that job well, latex is all natural, chemical free and completely safe...a stark contrast to memory foam, which is comprised of over 60 different chemicals. Memory foam sleeps hot, off gasses those chemicals that result in respiratory ailments. Then, it flattens out after only a few months of use. It's the difference between the best available and the worst available. It isn't a matter of both being good with one being better. Memory foam is very popular and extremely dangerous material.
You could go with the topper first. Many people do that and save themselves the expense of a new mattress.
If I had to choose a mattress for you, it would be a latex model.
