The Best Mattress Topper for Someone with Parkinson’s.

Hi Pete,

I’m looking for the best mattress topper for someone with Parkinson’s.
What would you recommend?
Thanks, Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
I don’t see how having Parkinson’s matters, in particular.

That said, the best type of topper has always been latex foam rubber.
The worst is memory foam, by far, and for numerous reasons.
Polyurethane foam is ok and very inexpensive, (Walmart has those).

Poly and memory foams are petrochemical based foams, which sleep hot.
Latex is pure, organic, hypoallergenic and extremely long lasting, depending on which you choose, and sleeps cool.

Chinese made latex should be avoided, as most of what’s processed in China includes clay as a filler, making it a lot less expensive and much shorter lasting.

Talalay Latex is the Softest, but very expensive.

Dunlop Latex isn’t quite as soft, but considerably less expensive.
Latex for Less has the lowest prices on the highest quality Dunlop Latex.
3” Soft is the most comfortable and closest in feel to the Talalay.
Dollar for dollar, your best value.
(Be sure to order the organic cotton cover for it, which is optional)

Thanks, Pete - TME
