$4000 Dahlia Mattress for a Bad Back?

Alex writes:

Hi Pete,

I’m considering the original Dahlia mattress by Urban Mattress in Denver.

They are a local family manufacturer.

I’m not sure if it’s firm enough for a stomach sleeper.

I like supporting local businesses, whenever possible.

However, the price tag is $4000.

It does seem to be an excellent mattress, which is a coil/latex hybrid, which I know is the kind of mattress you commonly recommend.

I only weigh 175 lbs. and have a bad back.

I’m wondering if I really need to spend that much.

Your thoughts?

Thanks, Alex

Hi Alex,

That’s a lot of money for a mattress, and especially for someone weighing as little as you. We carry a line of mattresses… Natura Greenspring, made in Canada that we recommend for heavy people that doesn’t cost that much.

For your size and condition, I recommend the PlushBeds Luxury Bliss Mattress in Medium Firm.
It has an individually pocketed coil system, which maintains the natural alignment of the spine and is upholstered with pure, organic and hypoallergenic Dunlop latex.
Here’s the link where you can view the specifications for that mattress.

This mattress is currently on sale and isn’t nearly as expensive as the one you’re considering… and comes with:

100 nights money back comfort guarantee

12 months 0% interest financing to qualified buyers

UPS Delivery that free and arrives in about 2 weeks time.

If you decide on this mattress, there’s an added bonus of another $100 off by using the discount code: MATTRESSEXPERT100
