Hi Pete,
I have shoulder and hip pain after sleeping on my sides on my cheap memory foam mattress.
I bought a 2” soft latex foam topper from Latex for Less, per your recommendation, and it has helped a lot.
Latex for Less Pure, Organic Latex Mattress Toppers
Now I think about purchasing a Tempurpedic mattress, but heard they are difficult to roll over in.
Also, is Temperpedic same as memory foam?
Thanks, Lisa
Hi Lisa
Tempurpedic uses memory foam atop a block of poly foam.
The difficulty in rolling over is but one of the many negative side effects of that type of mattress.
You’ll end up with the same problems you have now.
Let me save you from spending money on a similar mistake.
In fact, I suggest that you don’t need a new mattress.
Take the mattress you have and flip it over.
Reapply the soft latex topper, and you should be good to go for the next few years, or so.
The flip side of your mattress is polyurethane, which is much more stable than the memory foam on the topside.
Thanks, Pete - TME
