Hi Pete,
My Serta Perfect Day mattress has a lot of bounce and makes my shoulders and hips hurt. It also sleeps hot and we like to sleep cool.
What mattress do you recommend that would alleviate all this?
Thanks, Denise
Hi Denise,
A mattress using an individually pocketed coil system provides an independent suspension type of support…no bouncy feel.
These coils provide firm, contouring support that is designed to maintain the natural alignment of your body and spine.
A mattress like this that’s upholstered with Pure, Organic and Hypoallergenic Latex foam will also provide a cool sleeping surface that extremely comfortable and extraordinarily long lasting.
My recommendation is for the PlushBeds Luxury Bliss Mattress, which has all of the components I mentioned.
It’s very well made and comes with a 100 Night Trial Period.

You don’t want to put a new mattress on an old foundation.
Doing so will void the warranty of any mattress.
If you need a new boxspring/foundation, I recommend the Magniflex KD Foundation, which comes in your choice of height and color.
They’re very strong and assemble easily with no tools needed.
They are upholstered foundations, a bit dressy, but reasonably priced.

Also recommended is a waterproof mattress protector, which prevents perspiration from seeping into the upholstery materials.
Keeping your mattress clean and dry and odor free will enhance longevity.
The Sleep & Beyond Organic Cotton Waterproof Mattress Protector is my recommendation…the one we use at home.
It sleeps cool and works well.
