Recently got a Serta Hybrid Memory Foam Mattress.
Typical story... felt great in the store, then terrible back ache halfway through the night. No good.
I have since tested latex in a store. I get your point. Much better than memory foam.Us: side sleepers, 155 and 125 lbs.
Prefer firmer supportive beds, hate the feeling of sag, and have had mediums with a softer pillow-top.
They've always been a tad soft, and with time low back pain has become a problem as our mattress aged.
Recommendations?

Everything else is much better than memory foam…even the polyurethane foam that had been the primary foam prior to the introduction of memory foam.
Every body needs, basically, the same thing…firm contouring support and a comfortable sleeping surface.
When your plush mattress is made plush with memory foam, you sink in too far.
When it’s made plush with poly or latex foams, you’re cushioned, but don’t sink.
