Lower Back and Hip Pain on a Natura Greenspring Laurel Ultra Plush Mattress.

I purchased a Natura Greenspring Laurel Ultra Plush mattress a year ago. 
I've started getting some lower back and hip pain. 
I had the mattress on an old box spring and thought that might be the problem.  
I put the mattress on the floor to see if it would help, but not much of a difference. 
Can I firm up this mattress with a firm latex topper?

Hi Scott,
No. You’d be better off getting a Pure Bliss 3” plush latex topper, and adding it to the flip side of your mattress....which is considerably firmer.

Your mattress has sustained some permanent damage, due to your old box spring.
"Laurel" is a store model, and would have been made by the Blue Bell mattress manufacturer, in Massachusetts.
They own the US rights to the Natura brand.
Their specifications, quality and consumer service aren’t as good as Natura of Canada.

Besides that, mushy support and a firm top is just the opposite of what a body needs to sleep well.

But first, you need a new box spring.
The best place to buy a good strong box spring, is at Costco or Sam’s Club.

We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.
