I am trying to find a suitable mattress for myself and husband.  
I am 5 ft tall and weigh 122 lbs; husband 5'9 and weighs 160 lbs.  
I am generally a side sleeper, occasionally stomach; husband side sleeper.  We are both 67 years young.

For two average size adults, what your suggesting is perfect.
But, because you two are so light, you can do just as well with a lesser expensive Beautyrest mattress.
