Beautyrest by Simmons Hospitality Mattress.

Hi Peter, 
My husband and I are both 5’7”, weighing 175-190#.  We sleep on our sides and back.
My husband has bursitis in his shoulder and lower back pain.  I have had lower back pain.
When on a recent vacation we slept great on a “Beautyrest, by Simmons hospitality” mattress.
Can we purchase the same mattress from you.

Hi Susan,
Beautyrests made for hotels are upholstered with polyurethane foam.
Beautyrests made for retail stores are upholstered with memory foam.
Poly foam had been the primary upholstery material for all mattresses from the early 1970s, until recently.
Memory foam made the scene about 15 years ago. Mattress manufacturer's started using it...a little at first...more as time when by.
A few years ago, all of the name brands were sold to investors. Now, they are all upholstered with memory foam. 
The purpose is to sell more mattresses more frequently to the same people.
Not only is memory foam a poor quality product, it also off gasses the toxic chemicals from which it's made.
The exceptions are: Plant based memory foam and the Next Generation memory foam used by Simmons. 
While these are not toxic, they are just as poor in their performance as toxic memory foam.

You have a couple of options.
You can buy through a Simmons Beautyrest through a hotel...for which you will pay a premium.
You can buy a firmer Simmons Beautyrest at retail, to which you will need to add a latex topper for surface comfort that lasts and to add longevity to the mattress.
Or, you can buy a mattress that has no memory foam.

When it comes to buying a Simmons Beautyrest, there are other things to consider.
The Platinum Series has a higher coil count than the lower end Silver Series...making the Platinum the proper pick for two average weight adults.
The Silver Series is better suited to guest and children's bedrooms.
Hotels, typically, will use a Silver Series model. Their rooms are filled on a rotating bases...not an every night situation.
If you take note, there are no plush or pillowtop models offered on our website. You need to avoid both.
The plush models are made plush by using a much thinner wire for the coils. 
The steel from which the coils are made, is raw steel...not tempered. It's imperative that you start with one of their firm models to get the heavier gauge coil.
The Luxury Firm being the most comfortable of them.
Pillowtops are the first thing to show wear...developing body impressions, almost immediately.

The Luxury Firm Beautyrest and a soft Talalay Latex Topper provides excellent spinal support and surface comfort that lasts for many years.

The 3rd option is the mattress we use at home. My wife and I are heavier than you. She has a sore hip and I have lots of disc related back problems.

What makes the Simmons Beautyrest so comfortable, is the individually pocketed coil system.
The coils are pre-compressed...a 9" coil in a 7" pocket, with each coil moving independently from one another, which maintains the natural alignment of the spine.
The Natura of Canada Greenspring mattresses use that same coil system.
The differences are:
A higher coil count...1020 coils in queen, compared to 900 in queen from Simmons.
More importantly, the steel, from which the coils are made, is twice tempered...a much stronger, much longer lasting coil. 
What's more, the upholstery material is Soft Talalay Latex...no memory foam...no need to purchase a latex topper.
