Hi Pete,
We have stayed in 2 different hotels within the last month and have loved both beds.
We currently have a $6,000 junk Tempurpedic that my husband and I hate. He usually sleeps in the recliner and I on 10 yr old sectional.
I need to find the Sealy Posturepedic Sleep Soundly Plush. Any help much appreciated.

The hotel was brand new so I know they have to make them still.
Thanks, Debbie
Hi Debbie,
The thing about your Tempurpedic, that is so bad, is the memory foam on top.
Sealy is now owned by Tempurpedic and everything they make, for retail, is loaded with the same lousy memory foam.
However, what they make for hotels doesn't have all that memory foam.
So, if you like that mattress, you should be able to buy it through the hotel.
On the other hand, I get lots of Tempurpedic owners who are unhappy with their mattress.
A good fix that has worked extremely well for the last decade, or so, is to add a latex topper to the flip side of that mattress.
The memory foam is only on top. The underside is made of high density poly foam.
Flip the mattress over and you'll find the very fiam side of the mattress.
Add an EverEden Pure, All Natural 2" Soft Vytex Dunlop or Talalay Latex Topper to that.
You'll have everything your body needs...firm support and a comfortable sleeping surface.
Latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years...soft but resilient...and it doesn't sleep hot.
Those latex toppers, shown here:

It'll cost you a lot less than a new mattress and give you a good 5 years of use from the mattress you have.
Delivery is free and there's no sales tax.

Soften the surface of a too firm mattress. Insulate yourself from the memory foam in your mattress to Sleep Cool. Extend the comfort life of your mattress.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI was actually looking to buy the same mattress, but I was wondering if you have a better option. I saw in a previous post that weight matters. My husband is 250lbs and im 180lbs. We stayed in a Staybridge Hotel and my husband slept throughout the whole night and we both woke up feeling rested and without any back tightness. Would you be able to provide two different price ranges? One around 3k and one around 2k. Thank you so much.
Hi Laura,
DeleteA high price tag does not equal high quality, in this industry.
In fact, the more you spend, the less you get in terms of performance and longevity...in most retail stores.
Hotels have, generally, rejected using mattresses upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam causes a mattress to need frequent replacing.
At retail stores, almost all mattresses are upholstered with memory foam.
We, on the other hand, specialize in mattresses that have no memory foam.
Most of our mattresses are upholstered with natural latex.
Latex has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
The mattress I’m recommending that will hold up under a 250 lb. man, is the same mattress my wife and I have at home.
With each of us over 200 lbs., this mattress is still in like new condition after the 5 years we’ve had it.
Here is a link to that mattress:

This mattress comes with white glove delivery.
Delivery includes setup in your bedroom and removal of your old mattress.
Delivery is free and there’s no sales tax.
We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.
Shown here, are 2 quality models from which to choose.
