Will You Take Away Our Old Mattress?

Thank you Pete,
I appreciate the quick response, we are doing some research. 
Some of our concerns are if you sit on the sides, does the mattress side collapse? 
My wife is on double crutches and sometimes unstable.
We are also concerned about the total height.

Hi Robert,
It is a strong enough edge for sitting to get in and out of bed, and to help you in getting dressed. But, no mattress edge will hold up to extended sitting.
If you’re talking about sitting for extended periods of time, I suggest you get a chair for her to use.
The foundation that comes with the mattress is available in 10” and 5” heights.
If using what you have, and the mattress is too high, you can remove the frame that holds the foundation...putting the foundation directly on the floor.

ALSO IMPORTANT:
I suggest using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will greatly extend the life and loft of the upholstery materials inside. Ours sleep cool and make NO Noise.
