My wife and I are in the market for a new mattress. We stayed at a boutique hotel in Charlottesville, VA and fell in love with their bed. The mattress was a Simmons Beautyrest Westbury II Plush (hospitality model). We saw in one of your previous posts that you recommend the Simmons Beautyrest World Class, since the former had been discontinued. Through our initial research, it seems the World Class is also discontinued. Is there anything out there now that's similar to these mattresses?

As time goes by, the lines change regularly.
If you've been to my website to see the current Beautyrest line, you may have noticed that there are no "plush" models listed.
What makes a plush Beautyrest plush, is the use of a very thin gauge wire for the coils. This creates a greater depth of softness. The 15.5 gauge wire, while initially comfortable, loses it's shape very quickly. Almost all end up in a warranty claim.
Not only that, but if you sleep on a bed that soft, you won't be providing the firm support that your spine requires.
What we recommend, is a firmer mattress with a soft latex topper added to the surface. This way, your body gets everything it needs to sleep well over a much longer period of time.
It's an alternative, common sense approach to what the mattress industry is selling.
"Plush" Beautyrests are available everywhere. They are available to me, also. But, I simply won't take a sale for one.If you insist on buying one, you will have to buy it elsewhere.
