I remember the Princess. It was a very nice mattress and one of the best buys of the time.
It's easy to see why you'd like to replace it with the same thing.
Unfortunately, there is no equivalent on today's market, and especially not from Sealy.
Most mattresses have gone from two-sided to one-sided. And, since Tempurpedic bought Sealy in 2013, their beds are loaded with memory foam, which is terrible stuff.
All this is designed so that a new mattress will need to be replaced in 5 years or less....not at all, the quality you've been used to.
We do carry a Two-Sided Mattress from a very old family owned and operated company, with a facility in the Midwest.
It uses the same coil system that is in your old Posturepedic, and it's upholstered with the same type of padding....and, contains zero memory foam.
The Wolf Brooklyn in Plush will be most like your Sealy Posturepedic Princess mattress.

I'm very interested in the Wolf Brooklyn Plush because it most like the old Sealy Posturepedic Princess of yesteryear. The only confusion I have is that your company ships these mattresses rolled up. I've always been of the impression that rolling up a mattress like this would damage it. Do you ship the box springs/foundation in a flat box? Thanks for your assistance.

DeleteOld mattresses had a heavy border wire that went around the perimeter of the mattress...top and bottom.
Today's mattresses don't have that anymore, so that they can be used on an adjustrable bed base.
It was that border wire that, once bent, became a problem.
The coils inside the mattress have a great deal of flexibility to them.
The foundation for the Wolf Brooklyn mattress, comes KD and is very easy to assemble....needing no tools.
