Simmons Beautyrest Ava luxury firm mattress with a 2" talalay latex foam topper is still too firm.

I recently purchased a Beautyrest Ava luxury firm with a 2" talalay latex foam topper. 

I really like a soft mattress and even with the topper this still feels really hard to me.  

I did put the topper under the mattress protector, is that compacting it too much?  What do you suggest?

Hi Jill,

Talalay Latex comes in a wide range of comfort levels.

The one we carry, which we label as soft, has an ILD rating of 14-19

Most I've seen online, which are also labeled as "soft", have an ILD rating of 20-25...which is what we call medium.

Perhaps, this is the reason for your issue.
