Mattress for my daughter with Fibromyalgia and is 300 lbs.

She is currently sleeping on a memory foam mattress on a platform bed which is not helping her back issues.
She weighs over 300 lbs. and I am leaning towards the Medi-Coil Permatuft w/latex as it contains the 2” talalay latex which I believe will soften the coils for her fibro issues.   Would you consider this the best purchase for her or can you make another recommendation.

Hi Lydia,
The challenge is to have a sleep surface that is soft enough to reduce her fibro pain, yet strong enough to support her size long term.
The two sided medi-coil plush is an excellent place to start, as it is a mattress that will support her and last her for many years.
However, as plush beds go, it's not all that plush. The latex is divided...1" on each side.
The fact is, there is no one mattress that will do all you need it to do.
To soften the surface, add another 2" of soft latex to the media-coil.
This is usually enough to relieve her pain...depending on the severity of the fibro.
Fibromyalgia is progressive. If severe, or when it becomes more severe, it may be necessary to add a down topper. The latex toppers are maintenance free, while the comforters need to be fluffed regularly.
Start with the medi-coil plush and the 2" soft talalay latex topper.
Add the down topper if needed.
