A very good firm mattress with a soft top

We are interested in purchasing a new King mattress and box springs set.
We need to speak with someone that could help us pick out the brand/kind
for a GOOD firm or extra firm mattress - NO PILLOW TOP. We have not
had any good luck with the pillow top mattresses. Our 1st pillow top set
was 7 years old when it needed replacing. We purchased another set 5 years 
ago and we already need to replace it.
Also, what is your warranty on your mattress sets, and where are they
shipped from? We are in Lancaster, SC and we did not know where the
set would ship from.

You must have been drawn to the initial comfort of the pillowtop to have purchased 2 of them.
Going to an extra firm mattress will give you greater longevity, but not the comfort you want.
Consider adding 2" of soft latex to the top of your new extra firm mattress. You'll end up with a long lasting mattress that feels wonderful. Latex takes a very long time to wear out. It is the most resilient material available. Here are links to a good strong mattress and to the latex toppers.
