Latex Mattress Topper for Hip Pain

We need some help! My husband and I bought an Original Mattress Factory orthopedic pillow top mattress 4 months ago and are having a terrible time sleeping. He has a severely arthritic hip and wakes every hour with pain. I also find myself awakening with hip/back pain. This new mattress seems to be elevated in the middle all the way across..if you lay on it without a pillow, your head drops down and it's as if your body is arched? It is very strange, feels as if someone is pushing their fist up into your back. Can you advise what type of mattress and topper? His hip is extremely painful 24 hours a day since the purchase of the new mattress.

Hi Sandy,
Relieving the pain in his hip should be as easy as adding a soft latex topper. You may not need to get a new mattress.
I would suggest that you buy the topper first. If that's all you need, you've saved the cost of a new mattress. With your mattress being only 4 months old, you have a good chance of getting away with the topper only.
