A Plush Latex Mattress or Soft Latex Topper.

Matt writes:

Hi Pete,
I'm looking for a latex mattress. I'm a side sleeper and sometimes my arms fall numb on my current mattress, which might be too firm.
I liked the contouring support, but it's not comfortable. It's made of memory foam, which I know you don't like. I don't either, now.
I don't want a pillowtop, but am looking for a softer, plush latex mattress, without being too soft.
Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt,
You may have another option open to you...one that produces a similar result, for a whole lot less money.
If you have a perfectly good mattress, with being too firm as your only complaint, you could very well get away with buying a latex topper for it.
A latex topper will soften the surface and provide a comfortable sleeping surface.
Your memory foam mattress has memory foam, only on top. Supporting the memory foam is high density polyurethane foam.
The thing to do, is to flip the mattress over. The poly foam, that was on the bottom, provides good support.
Once flipped, add the soft Talalay Latex topper.

Soften the surface of a too firm mattress. Insulate yourself from the memory foam in your mattress to Sleep Cool. Extend the comfort life of your mattress.

If you've been shopping, you may have noticed that latex mattresses are expensive.
They are expensively made and well worth it.
