Hi Vivian,
The luxury firm and the firm models of the Simmons Beautyrest Braodway provide the same support.
The difference is in the comfort. The luxury firm has a little give and considered the more comfortable of the two.
The firm, has a stiffer surface feel....noticeably less comfortable.

Another option that I like is a latex hybrid model from a company called, Wolf...a very old (1873) Midwest family owned and operated manufacturer.
There are 2 models in this line. I prefer the Adrian for boys and the Adara for girls.
Both are upholstered with all natural latex and contain Zero Memory Foam.
