I came across your website and was looking for your recommendation on a mattress, please.
I'm 27, 5'8", 250 lbs. I have 2 lumbar herniated discs with cord compression.
Right now I'm sleeping on a nearly 15 year old pillow top mattress with a 2 inch memory foam topper, neither of which are very helpful.
I've slept on firm mattresses before, but they caused hip pain even after waking, as I'm a side sleeper.
I'm just tired of changing positions hourly throughout the night.

The memory foam topper is worthless. Memory foam, in it's entirety, is a totally worthless material.
However, I'm curious about your 15 year old mattress. They were all made pretty well, 15 years ago.
Would you describe your mattress as, simply lacking comfort...or has it lost support, as well?

In many cases, a 15 year old mattress is still in good shape and just needs a latex topper...which is why I asked.
My wife and I are approx. 225 lbs, each. She is shorter than you...which makes you two, proportionately, the same.
She, too, has a sore hip.
So, it's a no brainer to recommend to you, that which we sleep on, which she finds to be the best mattress that we've ever tested....and we've home tested quite a few.
I have herniated and bulging discs, as well as, degenerative disc disease...and it works for me, too.
The Natura Greenspring mattresses use a twice tempered pocketed coil unit, with a higher coil count than a World Class Beautyrest...and, upholstered with natural talalay latex...and contains NO Memory Foam.
All the components of this mattress is very high quality and extremely resilient....very long lasting and plenty comfy.
The model we have is the Liberty Ultra Plush. And while that may sound dangerously soft, it isn't. Due to the high quality of the components, it's much firmer than it sounds.
So much so, that we added an EverEden all natural 2" Soft Talalay Latex topper to it for more surface comfort.
