Sealy Solano Beach Latex Foam Mattress Warranty.

Richard writes:

Hi Pete,
I am writing with the same concerns and disappointment as some of the other Solano Beach owners.  We bought the mattress in 2008 and have used it in our second home in Arizona for the past 6 years.  We only use the home for 5 months each year so the mattress is not well used.  We too have a ridge in the center of the mattress and on each outside edge.  As we look back at some of the other mattresses we have purchased this one has not performed at all well.  Do we have a warranty issue we can pursue?  Thanks for your help, Richard

Hi Richard,
The sustained impression needs to be 1.5" deep or more to prevail in getting authorization for an exchange. Also, the mattress needs to be clean, totally free of any stains. A stain will void the warranty.
If these check out, call the retailer where you bought it and register your warranty claim.
If you do get authorization, they will want to send you another pillowtop. At that time, opt for a tight top model instead. Pillowtops show wear and body impressions to a much greater degree than their tight top counterparts.
And for the record, it wasn't the latex foam that failed in that mattress. It was the excessive amount of poly foam that is on top of the latex foam that caused your body impressions.

Thanks, Pete
